My note isn’t showing up on a page
TriggerNote only shows a note when the current tab’s URL matches one of that note’s triggers. Check that the pattern covers the full address and uses * for the parts that change — e.g. *github.com/*/pull/* rather than github.com/pull. A note appears once per visit, so reload the tab to see it again. Finally, confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions and that you’re on a normal web page — Chrome blocks all extensions on chrome:// pages and the Web Store itself.
How do URL triggers and wildcards work?
A trigger is a URL pattern, and the * wildcard matches any run of characters. So *meet.google.com* fires on every Google Meet call and *localhost:3000* fires on your local dev server. A single note can carry several triggers, and it appears whenever any one of them matches the page you open.
How do I edit or delete a note?
Click the TriggerNote icon in your toolbar to open the popup, find the note in the list, and use its edit or delete controls. Changes take effect immediately; on the free plan they apply to the device you’re currently on.
My notes aren’t syncing between computers
The free plan keeps notes only on the device that created them — nothing is synced. Cloud sync is a Pro feature: upgrade, then sign in to the same account in the extension on each computer and your notes sync automatically, encrypted in transit and at rest.
How do I back up, export, or move my notes?
On Pro your notes are backed up to your account automatically and restore when you sign in on a new device. On the free plan notes live only in this browser’s local storage, so they aren’t backed up — uninstalling the extension or clearing its data removes them. Turn on Pro sync if you want a safety net.
How do I reset the extension or remove all my data?
Delete individual notes from the popup, or uninstall the extension to permanently wipe everything stored on your device. If you use Pro sync and want the synced copy gone too, delete those notes while signed in — they’re removed from your account. The Privacy Policy covers exactly what’s stored and where.
I’m having a billing or payment problem
Manage your plan from the account section inside the extension, where you can update payment details, switch billing period, or cancel. If a charge looks wrong, you need a refund, or anything won’t go through, email us with the details and we’ll put it right.
Still stuck? Talk to a human.
Email dagimshimelis1992@gmail.com and a real person will get back to you. To get to an answer faster, it helps to include:
- The page where a note should have appeared, and the note’s trigger pattern.
- What you expected to happen versus what actually happened.
- Your browser and OS (e.g. Chrome 126 on macOS), and whether you’re on Free or Pro.
